As Models of the South prepares for November 2011 in Charlotte, NC, we are
pleased to announce A PORTFOLIO PRODUCTION CONTEST video competition. Enter
your video portfolio consisting of up to 30 still photos and video of runway
or other modeling work and submit it to Models of the South in order to be
entered into the contest and a chance to win the grand prize of $4000 or one
of three runner-up prizes of $2000. (Rules, terms and conditions

ADDITIONAL AWARDS:
Each contest participant will receive a one-half participation fee to Models
of the South (MOS) competition in 2011.
Models of the South 2011 will stage its thirty-eighth model and talent competition
event on Friday, November 18 to Monday, November 21, 2011 at the
Charlotte Renaissance Suites Hotel located in Charlotte, N.C.
The TOP TWENTY (20) portfolio production DVD will be distributed to major
model agencies located in New York City, Chicago, Miami and Atlanta.
The top portfolio productions selected by major model agency representatives
will be features on the Models of the South web site in 2010 and 2011.
CONTEST PARTICIPANTS who create her/his Portfolio Production through MOS photographers,
location, wardrobe, hair and make-up coordinators will receive three copies

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
SPONSORS: A total of $2,000.00 in sponsors is permitted. Sponsors that contribute
$50 or more to an individual’s portfolio production will be listed at
the end of the individual’s portfolio production DVD. YOU MUST REQUEST
AN OFFICIAL SPONSOR FORM if you plan to have sponsors.
DEADLINE to SUBMIT your DVD to MOS for A PORTFOLIO PRODUCTION CONTEST is
MONDAY, DECEMBER 13TH, 2010. LATE ARRIVALS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
JUDGING of all Portfolio Production DVDs will be conducted by major model
agency representatives. THE JUDGES’ DECISION IS FINAL!
A PORTFOLIO PRODUCTION CONTEST FEE is $200.00. The contest fee (personal
check, money order or cashiers check made payable to Models of the South)
must be included with A PORTFOLIO PRODUCTION CONTEST DVD when mailed to MOS
on or before DECEMBER 13TH, 2010. The DVD must be mailed in a package to prevent
breakage. NO EMAIL ATTACHMENT WILL BE ACCEPTED!
A PORTFOLIO PRODUCTION CONTEST IS LIMITED TO THE FIRST 200 ENTRIES.
Models of the South reserves the right to cancel A Portfolio Production Contest
on or before Friday, September 10, 2010 in the event that a MINIMUM of ONE-HUNDRED
(100) entries have not been confirmed. All entry fees received by MOS ($200.00
per each entry) will be reimbursed to the individual or to the sponsor on
or before Friday, September 24, 2010.
If the contest is cancelled due to lack of participation. the top twenty-five
portfolio production videos entered in the contest will be featured on the
MOS web site for one year, and those same videos will be sent to major modeling
agencies and talent agents at no expense to the individual.
RESULTS of A Portfolio Production Contest will be announced FRIDAY, DECEMBER
17, 2010. SEE MOS WEB SITE after FRIDAY, DECEMBER 17, 2010. for the winners
and Top 20 Portfolio Productions.
CASH AWARDS to the winner and three runners-up in the form of a cashiers
check made payable to the individual (and parent, if the individual is under
age 18) will be mailed by by priority mail TUESDAY, DECEMBER 21, 2010.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION for CREATING A PORTFOLIO PRODUCTION: See A Portfolio
Production featuring Grace Robinson, Model of the South 2008, on the HOME

1. Your NAME and RESUME’ must be included at the start of your DVD.
Sponsors must be listed at the end of your DVD.
2. You are permitted to use your choice of background music, transitions and
effect techniques when presenting your portfolio production.
3. A MAXIMUM of THIRTY (30) and a MINIMUM of TWENTY (20) photographs
must be included in your portfolio production DVD. ALL PHOTOGRAPHS MUST BE
IN GOOD TASTE!
4. The TOTAL TIME for your portfolio production DVD CANNOT EXCEED THREE (3)
MINUTES.
5. PORTFOLIO PRODUCTION DVDs will NOT be returned to the individual.
6. If your portfolio production is selected to be featured on the MOS web
site, you or your parent will be contacted for permission. The permission
form must be signed and dated by a parent or guardian if the individual is
under age eighteen. If the individual is eighteen years of age, she/he can
sign and date the permission form.
